Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Electrician

Responsibilities

You will be responsible to carry out repairs and maintenance of all the electrical installation, electrical systems and equipment’s under the instructions of electrical supervisor for safe and efficient operations to minimize breakdowns.

Specifically, you will be responsible to:

• Carry our repair and maintenance of equipment like LT & HT Switch gear, under the guidance of Supervisor.
• Assist supervisor for operational maintenance of Electrical Installations during shift duty.
• Record and monitor voltage and currents of different electrical system for operational reliability.
• Responsible to fill up maintenance work request slips indicating time and material consumed.
• Safety to be followed.
• Any other related task as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Secondary school preferred.
• 6 – 8 years related work experience.
• Electric Wireman’s License preferred.
• Knowledge of Electrical Equipment like LT & HT transformers, switchgears, controls, power distribution systems, lighting systems, basic of fire alarm system and call system etc.
• Extensive knowledge about plant preventive maintenance system.
• Ability to understand and write simple Urdu and English.
